What is body odor ?
Body odor is a topic no one want to really talk about as it can be quite embarrassing. And what is even worse to think that we have colonies of bacteria living on our skin! When these bacteria break down the acids in our sweat (a process known as bromhidrosis) they produce an unpleasant smell.

Many people use these terms interchangeably but there is a notable difference. Deodorant works by killing the bacteria under your armpits and Antiperspirant blocks the sweat glands. Both of these products contain Aluminium and a host of other chemicals which may be toxic to your body. Aluminum is best to be avoided as it is linked to breast cancer, alzheimer's disease and other allergic reactions †
It is best to avoid all the unnatural ingredients in the variety of health and beauty items on the market, and not take a gamble with your precious health ! For starters, body odor can be kept lower by eating a varied healthy diet and drinking enough water.
Drinking water helps to flush toxins out of the body, preventing it from being stored in our bodies - (much like a garbage bag not being taken out of the kitchen! ) Also, dry skin caused by dehydration creates the perfect environment for these bacteria to over-populate.It is best to avoid all the unnatural ingredients in the variety of health and beauty items on the market, and not take a gamble with your precious health ! Natural deodorant does not completely prevent the body from sweating, this is a natural part of being human!I found through months of testing, that a 5-Star Natural Deodorant should accomplish these basic 4 goals
- Neutralise the smell - Bicarbonate of Soda (No Aluminium added)
- Absorb some of the sweat - Clay and potato starch
- Nourish the skin - Organic Free Range tallow, non greasy absorption
- Smell good - why not !?
Looking a bit deeper into it ..
The Bicarbonate of Soda stops the odor by killing the bacteria that causes body odor. Kaolin clay easily absorbs moisture and has a soft, velvet like texture which is an important quality you would expect from a deodorant. It also has detoxification properties for good measure - it naturally carries a strong negative charge that binds to the positive charges in toxins. Tallow is bioidentical, meaning the cells are very similar to the human body and thus absorbing the Vitamins A, D, E and K very easily into the body. Is also contains CLA (Conjugated Lonolenic Acid) which is anti - inflammatory and antimicrobial.
Under Armor contains these benefits you would expect from a deodorant, and you can count on it. It comes with many other natural ingredients that assists in the above mentioned 4 qualities of a good natural deodorant - to moisturise, detoxify, nourish, prevent odor, and reduce sweating. I have tried and tested this product until I came up with Under Armor and many customers testified to its effectiveness. I made sure that this product will leave you fresh, dry and smelling good and it does not stain your clothing at all. If you are concerned with breast health, give Under Armor a try and put your mind at ease. Visit our shop page here for a variety of Natural Under Arm Deodorants
*Remember to select the Variation that would suit you best. We usually advise to start with SENSITIVE if you do not have a strong body odour, but have sensitive under arm skin. The bicarb might cause a slight rash at first and thus the last suggestion.
